Last weekend he cleared off an area for my garden....I'm so excited to grow some of my own stuff! My brother built me a nice box so that I can keep it contained and raise the beds a bit.
One side I plan to do some tomatoes and peppers, and the other side I will use for herbs, like lots of basil, parsley, tarragon, rosemary and thyme and maybe more. I'd like to do cucumbers and some zucchini, but I'll have to see how much space I have. This is the first year I'm doing more than just a few herbs, so I might start off small and see how it goes. I'm mostly interested in things for making salsa's and bruschetta and stuff like that.
We have to work on filling the boxes today and then we'll start putting the plants in......I'll let you know how that goes!
Also, I'm so excited that my hydrangeas are blooming....yeah!!! I was so upset last year when I didn't have a single bloom. I've had them for a about 5 years and they always did great every year. I missed having them last year and I didn't get to dry any.
My knock-out roses are doing really good this year too. If you haven't tried these before, they are great. You don't have to do anything to them and they bloom several times during the summer.

ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to call you, but I knew you had a lot going on....so, why don't you call me or email me. We have so much to catch up on. I have been pretty sick and have to go to the doctor sometime this week...I am hoping that it's just stress. I hope you and Patrick are doing well.
Everything looks great! I was just noticing the same thing about my hydrangeas! They are much bigger this year and are blooming again! Yeah!! I guess summer is here. The girls have already been swimming!
